Penelope Isles

Penelope Isles are a Brighton-based indie band fronted by siblings Jack and Lily Wolter, originally from the Isle of Man. Taking influence from alt rock and lo-fi acts including Pavement, Radiohead, and Deerhunter, they make lush, harmonic noise pop that's often as catchy as it is exploratory. Signed to Bella Union, their debut album 'Until the Tide Creeps In' arrived in 2019, followed by the more expansive 'Which Way to Happy' in 2021 (produced by Jack, mixed by Dave Fridmann). After a period of writing and recording, 2026 marks their triumphant return with a new album — their most ambitious work to date.
