Desperate Journalist formed in North London in 2013. Their self released 'Cristina' EP and energetic live shows soon caught the attention of Simon Williams who signed them to Fierce Panda records. Over a decade later, the post-punk foursome (Jo, Rob, Simon and Caz) have built a loyal and growing fanbase around the UK and Europe. Following on from the success of 'Maximum Sorrow!', and their first US shows at SXSW, the band toured with Suede on their sell out Autofiction tour, gaining them more new fans. 5th album 'No Hero' arrived in late 2024 and contained their most ambitious and accessible material to date, from the bass groove led single 'Unsympathetic Parts 1 & 2', to the big choruses of '7'.
