Beef Warehouse used to run a regular packed out themed clubnight called 'It's All About...' at North London's Boogaloo until the less bearded one got barred for quarreling.
They wanted to start a new night but got sidetracked with appearances at ATP, Latitude, Glastonbury and Leeds whilst narrowly avoiding arrest for indecent exposure at a family village fete in the Cotswolds.
They've since played festivals in New York, fashion shows in Barcelona and car races in Los Angeles - but there's no place like home and, having broken his collarbone at the The Lexington earlier this year following a mosh pit malfunction, the more bearded one decided there was a no better home for a new Beef Warehouse monthly meet, which they've lovingly christened, 'Daft Drunk'.
Arm yourself for an intoxicated late Friday mix of jumpy jumpy electro, inappropriate rock and some really bent showtunes.

WHITE LIGHT - from 8pm-4am EVERY Friday. Bands from 8pm-11pm, DJs 11pm-4am. £5, FREE after 11pm.
After 11pm Ollie, Matty and Jamie play great songs for dancing to from before 1984. The playlist includes 60s soul, 50s rock'n'roll, 70s punk, glam and disco, electro-pop plus any other good danceable genres as long as it's not from after 1984. Not sure if this is anything to do with George Orwell. Something to do with The Smiths ruining music. Whilst not being that bad at all themselves...
Jamie plays the likes of...
1. Journey - Don't Stop Believin'
2. Fake - Donna Rouge
3. Nina Simone - Some Say
4. The Associates - Love Hangover
5. Robert Palmer - Looking For Clues
6. X Ray Connection - Get Ready
7. Talking Heads - Making Flippy Floppy
8. The Selecter - On My Radio
9. Bruce Springsteen - Tenth Avenue Freeze Out (Live)
10. John Lennon - Whatever Gets You Thru The Night
ol' J Finch plays...
Another refugee from the end of White Light and the Tatty Bogle Justin describes himself as "playing music that sounds a bit like country, is country, or is not country but is still made by misogynistic back woods racists... But mostly country new and old".
It should be noted that Justin does not approve of sexism or racism unless it's helping to make that good old-timey sound or he's in shoreditch where it's expected as long as there appears to be at least some small hint of irony or the possibility of it.
Olly 'tiberius' parker's profile & Charts
Olly first cut his teeth properly in the Black and White bar in Camden Palace (now Koko) at his and Matty's first attempt at a club night, called 'Room at The Top'. At this bar he can lay claim to be one of the first DJ's to pick up on London's then emerging new rock 'n' roll scene by being one of the first to pick up on The Libertines et al.
Looking back now at the Paddingtons, Thee Unstrung, Kings of Leon's second album, The Kooks etc. Olly would like to take this opportunity to apologize, promise he never played any of the later crap and he will never make the same mistake ever again.
Since then he has DJed at various venues across the land. Olly's style can be described as 'annoyingly elitist' or 'f*ckin' commercial' depending on his mood at the time. He lists Sonic Youth, The Stooges, The Long Blondes, My Bloody Valentine, Roy Orbison and Graveyards amongst his current favorite artists though this changes from week to week.
Alongside DJing, Olly plays in a secret band, is A&R Manager for a huge multi-national company* and also works for Rough Trade Records.

Matty's profile & Charts
I run White Heat. That's my job. It's fun too though so perhaps none of it is a job. Is it a job if you enjoy it? Is it a hobby then? It can't be a hobby because they notoriously don't pay the rent. I think my hobby might involve books and toy aeroplanes. DJ's are prone to geekiness you see. Think about it. Think about that trainspotterish knowledge of music, think about that MUST HAVE THAT NEW RECORD mentality. I even know one DJ/Website editor that actually is a trainspotter. Glamour is never far away in this profession.
Since running white heat I have met the following famous people:
Jarvis Cocker
Kate Moss
Mel B
Peaches Geldof
Kelly Osbourne
Carlos D
Juliet Lewis
That Guy off Big Brother
That girl off Big Brother
That Guy/Girl off Popworld
A weather presenter
All available Libertines
The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster
Mclusky
The Klaxons(!)
And of course most famous of all, Faris 'Rotter'. Told you it's glamorous.
Hopefully at some point someone famous will come to White Light. So far all I've got is Faris 'Rotter'. C ome to think of it that Fred from Les Incompetent is on the telly a lot recently so perhaps he's considered famous now?
Anyone?
